Harvey Pekar, whose "American Splendor" life was chronicled in a comic book series first illustrated by R. Crumb,
has died at the golden age of 70. An obsessive depressive, battling anxiety and loneliness, his life was portrayed as anything BUT
splendiforous. He shall be missed. Also an acclaimed movie, "American Splendor" (2003) starred the great Paul Giamatti. Rent it.
