DOOMSDAY BOOK (Korean: 인류멸망보고서 = Report/Memoir on the Reputation of Mankind)

Kim Ji-Woon, director of psycho-horror flick A Tale of Two Sisters, the amazing action-packed
spaghetti western The Good, the Bad, and the Weird, and the murderous I Saw the Devil,
has been working on DOOMSDAY BOOK since 2006; the movie features three apocalyptic
sci-fi tales of human self-destruction in the modern high-tech era.

A Brave New World
(멋진 신세계 "Mutjin Sinsegye")
Directed by Yim Pil-sung

pleased to meat you

Researcher Yoon Seok-woo (Ryu Seung-beom, star of the great ARAHAN) stays home after his
uncaring family leaves on a overseas trip. After cleaning the house and taking out the seemingly nuke-infested trash
replete with decaying apple, the camera follows the hard-core apple on it's trash-bound compost-trip to becoming feed
for a cow, and the cow becoming BBQ feed for Seok-woo and his beautiful blind date and hundreds of others.
in a classic case of what goes around comes around, Seok-woo's blind date turns into the start of a zombified,
mad-cow induced apocalyptic virus.

Heavenly Creature
(천상의 피조물 "Chunsangui Pijomul")
Directed by Kim Ji-woon

an excellent short with a surprise inside.

Happy Birthday
(해피 버스데이)

outlook not so good

The movie's final short has the two directors collaborating on “Happy Birthday” about a young girl
whose wish results in a giant meteor heading straight for the planet Earth and it's destruction.

Elementary school student Park Min-seo (Jin Ji-hee) breaks her dad's 8-ball, and decides
to order a new one from a mysterious website. 2 years later, a meteor resembling a massive 8-ball
speeds toward planet Earth and impending doomsday. Hilarious broadcasts ensue with tv anchors
losing all sense of decorum. Min-seo's family heads to an underground bunker, fully-equipped with
food, plants, bike-propelled electricity and the internet. Will Min-seo be able to stop the 8-ball from
devastating the planet? will her parents be able to keep the computer running or get leg cramps
trying to produce electricity? what beautiful actress will Min-seo become 10 years after the apocalypse?
reply hazy, ask again later.
