"Inherit The King"
Big Okie Doom is an Oklahoma City band rooted deep in the heavier side of Americana music.
OKLAHOMEGROWN is DIY stoner rock with heavy metallic, groove-oriented smash your face undertones.
Utilizing lo-fi recording, a raw, powerful heaviness explodes from a country and western core, led by
the crunchy flying guitar riffs of vocalist Michael Albatross that lean toward full-frontal flashy and tasty.
Heftily anchored by the massive bass/drums of Vernon Bros, Paige and Price, OKLAHOMEGROWN
is the sound of a big oak tree, thick and resilient at the base, branching out into a cover of Radiohead's "Creep"
with sweet ethereal background vocals and pedal-steel guitar.
Songs like "Inherit The King" and
"Wartorn" pack a husky punch, with whispering vocals imploding
into a full-on battlefield of guitars and rock, rolling back into self-realized road of anthemic power.
Big Okie Doom is homegrown rock, big bearded dudes with a big bearded sound, encouraging
the listener to "think for yourself and question everything." Inherit the awesomeness.
