as evidenced by Chiba animation, consisting of Armory

from the full scale painting to the artist's book on display,
to the exhibition poster, I was enamoured by MA-ke's work,
art most intense

a collage of beauty in the
color and texture and delicacy
a great artist from China working in multiple mediums,
unfortunately not currently represented on the
Sean Kelly Gallery website...
but well-represented by the Shanghart Gallery link,
where we found these 2 excellent artworks, amongst others
the entire gallery was a bevy of pieces by the artist,
whose range from comic-al to serious belied a
profusive catalog of talent
these sculptures reminded me of something the serial murderer
from
True Detective might conjure, from the mind of an
artist who very well may be a serial mystic
unfortunately, we could not find the gallery representing
Kiki Smith at The Armory Show, and whether this sculpture
overlooking her prints was hers as well.

ROY LICHTENSTEIN
this "Folded Hat" was one of the smallest
Lichtenstein's I've ever seen, yet would
be proud to wear on my head...

the wisdom of words?
this performance group of artists from China were perhaps the most
interesting part of the stodgy hi-value Armory Show, consisting of
a wall of trinkets you could buy or win, a very funny video of orgiastic
proportion, lottery tickets, their own money, and a closed booth
where all you could see were objects being thrown above the sealed walls
